Emily Rabbideau is a visual storyteller. Her work spans many different artistic disciplines, all aiming to tell a story: one of defining a place, person, or concept to call home.

Emily’s work is loud, colorful, and takes up space. It circumvents the typical boundaries of mediums: two-dimensional paintings are combined with sculptural elements, and hand drawn animation makes its way into films. This multimedia approach allows Emily to depict a wide variety of themes that create a holistic picture of the home.
These themes include the memories associated with a home, the people that frequent it, and the environment of the home itself. Emily’s work challenges the viewer to reconstruct their conceptions of a home and answer the question, “Are you ever really at home?”
